Red Suede Shoes

One of the main reasons I started this blog was to give myself an outlet where I could be creative…Putting together all of these outfits takes time yes, but I love it. I would do it all day if I could.  My love for styling isn’t limited to just my own.  I love when a friend calls or texts me questions & advice on what to wear to things.  I love dressing people up, letting them borrow items for a night and seeing them smile because it’s another way to feel beautiful.

The idea behind “Amy’s Vintage Closet” began sometime in my 20’s when I realized that even though I owned pieces similar to other people, I did not dress like most of them.  My style is a mix of thrifted/vintage items mixed with Forever 21, Nordstrom, TJ Maxx and Ebay.  In my opinion there is nothing more original than mixing of an item designed decades ago with something you recently purchased.

There are two things that I do splurge on…Can you guess which two they are??? DING DING DING…Shoes and Handbags.  :) Guilty as charged! But those two items will inevitably outlive me so they may as well be something that is extra gorgeous! May I introduce you to these red beauties designed by the ever so talented Brian Atwood!brian atwood figara brian atwood figara red bootie pump vintage elephant belt kate spade sunglasses, vintage scarf

Scarf Print Galore

Totally in love with this trend because I feel like it screaaaams VINTAGE. I adore the bright colors of these threads,  so feminine and lovely for summer.  I am dying for that ROMPER (#6)

1, 2, 4, 6-River Island, 3-Topshop, 5-Oasis

If you didn’t know about River Island or Oasis before you have to check them out.  Similar to Topshop they coin a style and fashion only London can produce. One of my girlfriends/roommates from college lives there and has opened my eyes to so many different amazing shopping websites.  Seriously, I need to get back to London ASAP!!! This weekend when I was browsing these websites and loving on the scarf print I realized that I had a vintage scarf print shirt hiding away in my closet.
