A few weeks ago I headed about an hour and a half south from Phoenix to the beautiful, Arizona Inn. I have been to this property a handful of times, but never had the chance to stay in one of the darling suites. The luxury Inn has 92 casita-style rooms that spread over 14 acres of gardens, fountains, flowers and lawns in the heart of mid-town Tucson, Arizona. It is the perfect mix of desert succulents and beautiful florals. One of the things that has always drawn me to this one of a kind hotel is the history of it.
Arizona Inn has been family owned and operated since its creation in 1930 by Isabella Greenway. Isabella was Arizona’s first congresswoman, how bad ass is that? She also was besties with Eleanor Roosevelt who was a frequent visitor at the Inn. (John Wayne would stay here too) After 8 decades this world-renowned resort is still fulfilling Isabella’s original promise of a desert oasis filled with privacy, quiet and sunshine.
This place is also very special to me because it was where my grandmother use to stay every year while she visited my mother and her siblings at UofA. That’s the beauty of historic pieces and places, the memories & the stories that they keep decade after decade. I hope you have the chance to experience this gem for yourself someday. AZ Inn is located at:
2200 E. Elm Street

Have a great rest of your week!
I couldn’t wait to soak in all the desert landscape at Tanque Verde Ranch. I found this long fringe number that I still had not worn and knew it would be perfect.

I always love a good adventure. Last weekend My Dapper Fellow and I ventured down south to the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch for a weekend stay of ranch life, horses and the wild, wild west.

Tanque Verde Ranch is located 2 hours south of Phoenix, AZ. The resort is equipped with all-inclusive accommodations catering 3 meals a day and endless activities to keep you happy and occupied. Everything from hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding to yoga, fishing or sand volleyball is available. We woke up early Sunday morning and did the Breakfast Ride which was the highlight of our trip and I will share more later this week. Our Casita in the photo below was fully equipped with more than we needed. All the rooms at Tanque Verde Guest Ranch are tv-less in attempt to get you to detach from everything necessary for the week/ed.
I look forward to sharing more about our stay later this week. I hope you make yourself a great day!
