This past weekend it was 85 in Arizona. Spring is in the air! It was nice enough to lay out, wear shorts, and get a suntan. I have worn both of these items several times before, just never together. Last year around this time was when I first began mixing prints. I remember feeling so weird about breaking the traditional rules of matching. Are you comfortable mixing prints? Is it something you’ve wanted to try, but didn’t know how? I discovered a few tips that helped me out a lot along the way that I shared with you here if you’re interested in checking them out! I would love to know your feedback.

Hey loves! Sorry for the late post, but better late than never right? I have been running around all day trying to accomplish all my last minute lists before Christmas. This is the BEST time of year because I feel as though everyone I interact with is so cheerful and in such good moods! What do you guys have on the lineup this weekend? Family stuff? Christmas parties? I wish December lasted for two months. Here is my last 2 week recap via Instagram. Lots of good times with great friends. <3
Waaaaaaah Whoooo!!! So excited for the weekend! Dapper Fellow and I are heading to San Diego until Sunday and I cannot freaking wait. I feel like it’s been so long since our last visit and I am especially excited to see some of our favorite people and eat at some of our favorite old hangouts. I apologize for my lack of “Instagram Thursday’s” The program I use to organize the photos (instagrid) is now under construction and I was disappointed that I missed out on yesterday’s traditional post. To catch up on my week as well as what’s to come this weekend follow me via instagram… @amysvintagecloset
I wore this getup to brunch with my gf’s and I was comfortable ALL day! We tend to share everything so there’s always an extra added touch to my outfit posts if they’re around This is perfect Sunday attire if you ask me.

Happy Cyber Monday bz’s! Hopefully you all are getting your shop on for the both of us! Today’s outfit is what I wore for Thanksgiving. It was so nice outside in AZ that I had to shed the outer later minutes after these pictures were snapped! I think it is obvious if you know me or visit my blog that I have a huge obsession with leopard print everything, but I have a secret…I think that snakeskin has weaseled it’s way into my heart as of late. I picked up this snakeskin pullover piece years ago and forgot that I
got rid of it gave it to my mom until I was over there. I love the colors and I feel that it screams fall!

Just like any other girl I love gorgeous, detailed, mouth dropping 5inch heels. Heels make an outfit. In my early 20’s the weekend getup of party dresses, costume jewelry, and heels to kill for a night out on the town were the norm. As you get older and busy with work and prior commitments I find that my weekend warrior attire has transformed into something entirely different. I have a lot less time and to spend an entire day thinking about every last detail of what I am going to wear exhausts me. Let me be clear here…this is NOT a post about how I ditched heels. I still buy them and rock them like candy, however it is in a different scenario, a wedding, birthday party, dinner with my boo, etc. This year though I have been WILDLY obsessed with flats. There are so many different styles from prints to leather to suede, OH MY!!! Here are a few pics from AVC…

I feel like everyone needs a nude, black and pantent leather flat. They will be your most commonly worn shoes as well as easy to incorporate into your wardrobe. The next step is to add a colored flat or printed flat. I realize
leopard isn’t for everyone (no actually I don’t realize this at all…it baffles me!) But if that is the case then go with something more comfortable for you like red or stripes. Red/pink is very easy to wear because most women have a plethora of black in their closet and it gives you just the right amount of pop to add some spice to your life. I really want to get a yellow leather or printed pair next, possibly a maryjane style. Don’t be afraid of the flats. Your tootsies will thank you later
