Good Afternoon friends,
I am back from NYC!! To say I had an awesome trip would not do it justice. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I had so many amazing moments while being there. I’ve been to NYC before, but this trip was just magic. I literally cried upon leaving. I saw my first Broadway show, visited the new World Trade Center, biked across the Brooklyn & Manhattan bridges, stopped into the Bollare showroom, visited the Lesportsac office, consumed WAY too many street gyros, caught up with several college friends, and sipped some of the finest cocktails I have ever had in my life. I look forward to sharing more with you throughout the week.
Today’s look is comprised of mostly ALL thrifted/vintage pieces.

Happy Cyber Monday bz’s! Hopefully you all are getting your shop on for the both of us! Today’s outfit is what I wore for Thanksgiving. It was so nice outside in AZ that I had to shed the outer later minutes after these pictures were snapped! I think it is obvious if you know me or visit my blog that I have a huge obsession with leopard print everything, but I have a secret…I think that snakeskin has weaseled it’s way into my heart as of late. I picked up this snakeskin pullover piece years ago and forgot that I
got rid of it gave it to my mom until I was over there. I love the colors and I feel that it screams fall!

Sooooooo, TGIF lovelies. I am so excited for the weekend. I can’t wait to relax, catch up with friends and lay out in the sun. I feel like this look is perfect for the weekend. This outfit was sort of thrown together last minute. I purchased this skirt earlier in the week while thrifting. It is basic, baggy, and has pockets so I decided to pair it with a blouse, tucked in with a belt to add a bit more structure. I was pleased with the result.
This necklace is just to die for. I found it at F21 for $12.80. BOOM! Such a steal. The detailing and hardware is amaze. I feel like you will be seeing a lot more of this one.

These wedges are one of my favorite summer go-to’s c/o my dapper fellow. I love mixing neutrals and seriously feel like they match everything…best part, they’re soooo comfortable. *Look at Lily’s cameo in the back, haha :0)
I have loved friendship bracelets since the age of five. After moving to AZ from San Diego in December I thought I lost my favorite one, but recently found it… (the one in the middle that is red, yellow and orange). A friend of mine started this organization called Hug It Forward where they build schools for children in 3rd world countries out of water bottles. Pretty amazing stuff and you should ck it out in more detail here.
Thank you for all who participated with my first giveaway and I can’t wait for the next one! Happy Friday!
Blue is such a color you wear when you mean business. The sassy, vibrant, powerful tones just make me want to scream with happiness. A complete opposite of it’s traditional “sad” reputation. I feel as though bright, cobalt, royal blue is also a season-less color. It goes great in the warmer seasons as a tank or shorts matched with a simple white or in the colder months, as a blazer, skirt or jacket. In this outfit I was attempting to channel my inner mixed prints self

I am totally excited and on board with the mixed prints trend that is popping up on runways, in store windows and on the street. I feel like it is a unique, yet risky way to represent one’s style as well as a nice transition from winter to spring and summer. However, it can be one of those trends that if not done properly could turn horribly bad. No one wants to look like they got dressed by a five year old. Here are a few tips to remember when implementing mixed prints:
- There is really only a need for one bold, dominate print in the mix. If you are electric on top let the bottom remain more muted and then pop in a bright shoe, sweater or bag.
- Keep accessories simple. This can easily be done with a red pump, large bag, or my personal favorite, a thick, chunky belt. The reason the belt is my favorite is because it can easily be used to separate an outfit. You are going to have a lot going on so you want to keep any accessories pretty solid.
- Be sure to pick one or two colors in common when mixing prints. If your bright floral patterned bottom contains red, black, purple, green and white, be sure that its top print is matched with at least two similar colors. I think floral is best matched with stripes, leopard or zig zags. This will create a natural cohesive feel to your look.
- Do not mix more than three prints. The goal is to still remain looking tied together and any more than three I feel is overkill and risks you looking like a walking 1970’s chair married 1950’s curtains.
I can’t wait to get creative with all these ideas and in the meantime I enjoy swooning over these two Resort Collection below:
