Tanque Verde Ranch-Part 2

One of my favorite activities we did at the Tanque Verde Ranch was the Breakfast Ride.  The ride will take you through the beautiful rolling hills of the desert as you make your way to the Old Homestead.
Upon reaching the destination, indulge in a freshly cooked breakfast prepared right in front of you. The famous blueberry pancakes were definitely a highlight. If pancakes aren’t your thing (I am concerned) they have delicious ranch style eggs, bacon and fresh juice.  It was a great halfway break to refuel and head back on the trail.

IMG_7073 IMG_7080 IMG_7083 IMG_7087 IMG_7081TVR is running an all inclusive Spring Break Special in the next few weeks that is the perfect getaway for couples as well as families.  I really love the all-inclusive option because it allow each guest to fully experience life at the ranch.  There is something about dining with the other guests and getting to know where each person is from that creates a lasting cultural dynamic to each person’s experience.  If anyone has any specific questions regarding our stay and experience as always feel free to email me.  I have one more post to share with you guys from our stay that will be popping up later this week. Wishing you a blessed day!

Coachella 2012

I am beyond excited because my FAV time of year is coming…COACHELLA!!!! I first started going 3 years ago and have been hooked.  I was living in San Diego until a few months ago and my girlfriends and I would pile in my yellow VW bug, with the windows down and music blaring, ah…memories.  I am super excited this year because I get to bring my fabulous dapper fellow of a boyfriend for his first Coachella experience!!!  Like any event I try to plan out my outfits accordingly for the wkd ahead of time. What I love about dressing for this festival is that it is very vintage, hippie and laid back. The goal for everyone is to look simple, comfortable, and most importantly not too hot (temp wise).  There is so much walking around that clothes really need to be accessible and easy.  No high heels needed for Coachella.  I love both the distressed and lacey looks this year.  It adds a very rocker yet feminine appeal to any outfit.  The looks below are all from one of my fav go-to online websites called  Nasty Gal

Everyone needs a good Romper. It is such an effortless piece of clothing but speaks for itself.  Add a necklace, belt, big earrings, or hat to spice it up.  I also love anything and everything leopard.  This “mullet” style skirt is so perfect for Coachella and I am going to need it in my life.  Another staple item is a vintage t-shirt. The bald eagle tank is fun matched with a high waisted white button up short.  I scored a pair from Savers last year that I plan on bringing with me to emulate this look.

This head piece is so enchantingly vintage.  It is from Free People of course, the best modern day vintage line out there. I also love her crochet top which is perfect for festival attire.  Just over a month away…I can’t wait to take pics of the fab outfits that I see and share them with you!
