Feed For Target

FEED+USA+and+Target_bf7a1fe1-0c61-465c-8492-ff4c40d9020f-prvTarget never fails to amaze me with the ab fab collabs that they come up with. FEED began in 2006 when acclaimed model and activist Lauren Bush designed a bag to benefit the United Nations World Food Programme’s (WFP) School Feeding program.  I am sure you have seen one of these bags around right? Celebrities are huge supporters of FEED.

Best Dressed-Met Gala Ball 2013

Good Morning loves!

In case you missed it, the Met Gala Ball was last night. Each year there is a theme and a this year’s theme was: “PUNK: Chaos to Couture.”  Named one of the biggest fashion night out events, this gala ALWAYS showcases some of the best dressed looks.   Here are a few of my fav’s from the evening…

Cara Delevingne, met ball, met gala, 2013 met gala ballCara Delevingne looked stunning in this spiked Burberry gown.  I love the smokey eye makeup and fierce clutch. I am not too crazy about her hair. It looks like it doesn’t know if it should be straight or wavy and I am left thinking it just looks a bit undone. I sleek ponytail would have been a better choice to this edgy chic look.    photo credit

anne hathoway met gala, met gala 2013, valentinoI LOVE this Vintage Valentino number on Anne Hathaway. This gown is exquisite.  I think it was very risky and brave of Anne to attempt this amazing archival piece from the very talented Valentino.  Similar to Cara, I am not loving her hair. Did everyone drive to the Gala in a convertible?  Photo Credit

blake lively in gucci, met gala 2013 gucci, blake lively,

Blake Lively  doesn’t disappoint in this flawless light-green strapless Gucci number.  I love the full layered skirt with feather embroidered details.  Blake styled the gown with elegant Lorraine Schwartz jewels.  Photo Credit

jessica alba 2013 met gala, met gala best dressed 2013, 2013 met gala, jessica alba

Jessica Alba is always on my best dressed list because this girl just get’s it! I ADORE this Tory Burch dress on her! I am actually still in awe that it’s Tory Burch. The cut-outs are perfectly appropriate and the gown is just perfection on her.  Her high voluminous bun and her subtle bronze glow finishes off the look.  Photo Credit

What were your favorites? Did you see Miley’s hair?? OH MY GOSH! If not GTS NOW! Have a great day!

Young Lives

Yesterday I shared with you what I wore to the fabulous “Vintage Women’s Tea” event that I attended. It was put on by the Arizona Young Lives Association.  Young Lives is an extension of Young Life.  It is “a program designed for high school and middle school girls who are expecting or are raising a child on their own.  Treating each mom and her child or children with unconditional love and respect, YoungLives offers teen moms relief from the isolation and struggle of their daily lives and hope for the future. YoungLives mentors provide friendship, parenting advice and help meeting the practical demands of raising a child. At YoungLives club and camp, moms get to socialize and have fun while their babies get the best possible care.”

The event was held to raise funds to send these young women to a camp over the summer. Along with tea, lunch and cookies there was an abundance of items to bid on via silent auction. I had never participated in a silent auction before, but I definitely got a little bid crazy! There was a raffle for guests to enter to win the below cart packed with  vintage goodies!!!!  AAAAAnnnnnd guess what??? I WON!!! I never win anything, but this was just too perfect for me!IMG_4423 IMG_4424 IMG_4426 IMG_4427 IMG_4428 IMG_4429 IMG_4430Stay tuned tomorrow for a fabulous collaboration!

The 2nd day was casual. We met for breakfast and then headed to sessions.  This was also coined as “shopping day.” We got spoiled with many many goodies and treats. (The Lesportsac girls brought a milkshake bar!!!) It was a completely different pace than day 1. I loved being able to chat and really get to know the other bloggers. Vintage Christian Lacroix

On Sunday I headed over to the Union at the Biltmore to view the AMAZING vintage Christian Lacroix collection.  The pieces were so bananas I had to take a minute and soak it all in. The ornate detail and over the top bling was on another level.  The collection is everything from purses, rings, gloves, sunglasses, and earrings.  All of these items were worn in the 80’s on Lacoix’s runway.  Sunday was the last day of the exhibit here in Phoenix. I asked where they will be traveling to next and it looks like you too may be able to oooooo and ahhhhhh over these fab jewels.  Some of the collection will continue to travel across the country and a majority will be displayed at the Barney’s in NYC.  vintage christian lacroix vintage christian lacroixvintage christian lacroixvintage christian lacroix
