One of my favorite activities we did at the Tanque Verde Ranch was the Breakfast Ride. The ride will take you through the beautiful rolling hills of the desert as you make your way to the Old Homestead.
Upon reaching the destination, indulge in a freshly cooked breakfast prepared right in front of you. The famous blueberry pancakes were definitely a highlight. If pancakes aren’t your thing (I am concerned) they have delicious ranch style eggs, bacon and fresh juice. It was a great halfway break to refuel and head back on the trail.
TVR is running an all inclusive Spring Break Special in the next few weeks that is the perfect getaway for couples as well as families. I really love the all-inclusive option because it allow each guest to fully experience life at the ranch. There is something about dining with the other guests and getting to know where each person is from that creates a lasting cultural dynamic to each person’s experience. If anyone has any specific questions regarding our stay and experience as always feel free to email me. I have one more post to share with you guys from our stay that will be popping up later this week. Wishing you a blessed day!
I have always loved Valentine’s Day. As a kid I can remember the candy and as I grew up I looked forward little surprises from my dad. In college it was all about my glamentines. Then we opened Jimmy & Joe’s, my family’s pizzeria’s. I have managed all of them at one time and Valentine’s Day is one of our busiest days of the year. Now, I know what you’re thinking “V-day? really? for a pizza place?” Well, it’s true and a lot has to do with offering these bad boys below. That’s right people we make heart shaped pizza’s all weekend.
Considering the busy day and weekend, Dapper Fellow and I normally stay in and try and do something fun and relaxed together. Last year we cooked lobster tails for the first time and had champagne. This year we have friends coming into town so we decided for an early v-day dinner. We tried a new restaurant in our neigborhood called Ticoz that we both enjoyed.
What are you doing this weekend for Valentine’s Day?
I always love a good adventure. Last weekend My Dapper Fellow and I ventured down south to the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch for a weekend stay of ranch life, horses and the wild, wild west.

Tanque Verde Ranch is located 2 hours south of Phoenix, AZ. The resort is equipped with all-inclusive accommodations catering 3 meals a day and endless activities to keep you happy and occupied. Everything from hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding to yoga, fishing or sand volleyball is available. We woke up early Sunday morning and did the Breakfast Ride which was the highlight of our trip and I will share more later this week. Our Casita in the photo below was fully equipped with more than we needed. All the rooms at Tanque Verde Guest Ranch are tv-less in attempt to get you to detach from everything necessary for the week/ed.
I look forward to sharing more about our stay later this week. I hope you make yourself a great day!
