Hello loves! I am so excited to share with you an awesome DIY project just in time for the Holiday’s! My gf’s and I always seem to do arts and crafts whenever we get together. Maybe it’s the fact that we all are getting older, maybe it’s because we are becoming domestic? Who knows, but I’ll take it! Krystal and I planned this wreath making session a few weeks ago. We each bought a wreath and additional supplies separately then piled them together and went at it. I went for a green wreath and Krystal went for a more branchy look. Although we shared supplies what I love most about our wreaths is how different they are from each other’s.
What YOU need: Wreath, hot glue gun, supplies of your choice, scissors, and ribbon (I bought flowers, bells, birds, garland, pine cones, ornaments, and holly)
Krystal’s finished product:
My finished product:
The best part about making these was how fun and easy it was. You literally can use anything to make a wreath. You may remember my best friend Annie from this post. Check out her wreath that she made out of old hymnals from her grandmother!
Happy wreath making!
Man I don’t know about you, but I am en fuego this week. I feel like those 4 days off refreshed and rejuvenated me so much. In edition to getting things organized for the holiday’s we are going to get our Christmas tree tonight. I cannot wait. I have only had a real tree once. Stay tuned for pics via Instagram…
Good Morning blogosphere! One thing I am noticing from being on my shopping freeze is how many items I own that haven’t made it into a permanent rotation in my wardrobe. Today’s outfit features one of those pieces. These ab fab burgundy pants are velvet and 100% awesome. I swooped these bad boys up after Christmas last year on super sale and never really had a chance to wear them. I rarely buy a pant that isn’t a skinny jean, but I love that these are out of my ordinary. I foresee these being worn to several holiday parties!
Tip:When dropping coin on denim/trousers/pants I LOVE LOVE LOVE JBrand the best. They’re made in the USA and have, in my opinion the most perfect amount of stretch, but don’t stretch out!

I seriously wish I was able to wear more sweaters, hoodies, coats, hats, scarfs and gloves!! But then I remember that snow would be involved and suddenly 80 during the winter never looked so good. I got this
blanket sweater when I was living in Vancouver for college. Perfect for this brisk early morning. Believe it or not I have worn this as a dress before, paired with booties. I know that may sound silly, but hey! A girl’s gotta get wear outta her sweaters in the desert!

Happy Cyber Monday bz’s! Hopefully you all are getting your shop on for the both of us! Today’s outfit is what I wore for Thanksgiving. It was so nice outside in AZ that I had to shed the outer later minutes after these pictures were snapped! I think it is obvious if you know me or visit my blog that I have a huge obsession with leopard print everything, but I have a secret…I think that snakeskin has weaseled it’s way into my heart as of late. I picked up this snakeskin pullover piece years ago and forgot that I
got rid of it gave it to my mom until I was over there. I love the colors and I feel that it screams fall!

Hello my loves! I hope you all had a fab Thanksgiving. I took an unintentional mini break from AVC to enjoy family, relax and catch up on the basics. It has been such a fun weekend so far! I have so much to be thankful for. Every day is truly a blessing! This week I attended a fabulous Shawl Dawl event, celebrated mama’s bday, went to lunch with my dad, went to a gf’s baby shower, AND found out that our restaurant won Best Pizza! The blessings keep flowing!!! Here is my recap of last week via Instagram…
Happy Wednesday/day before thanksgiving/last day of work/AND MARY BLACK’S BIRTHDAY!!! My mom is the first person to comment, “like”, share or support whatever I am doing and I can’t thank her enough for that. Whether it be starting this little blog, moving to a different state, starting a new job, or the simple talks that begin with “how do I handle this?” She is there and she is supportive of everything that my brother and I are a part of. There are a LOT of dynamics that come with the
4, now 6 of us. Especially now that we are older and both adults I am grateful to share such a strong friendship with her. There are so many things that I admire about you Mary Black, but here’s just a few…
- I love how much you love us. You do so much for all of us and it is so SELFLESS.
- I love how welcoming you are to your kids significant others. Even though neither of us are married yet, you have welcomed Norma & J with open arms & hearts.
- I love that you’re not defined by your husband. Who doesn’t LOVE our dad!? We all love him, but you encourage me as a woman because you are so strong alone. You have your own identity, friends, and interests.
- I love how you can get soooooo feisty and that it is always about two things: Being a UofA fan and people screwing with your family. For such a sweet, caring & kind woman you would mess someone up if they hurt any of us. And if you’re an ASU fan….fah getta bout it!
- I love that we laugh the same, share green eyes, have the same hands from grandma, both forget or mess up words the same way, and how excited you get when Jaimeson and I come over. <3
I am so happy and blessed that you’re my mama! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Mama took these pictures. This outfit was from a baby shower that we went to this weekend for Lauren, one of my dear friends from high school. The sun is so gorgeous. It was shot right at 5pm which just so happens to be my favorite time of day. I love sunsets more than anything and wish I could be outside everyday to enjoy that 20 minutes from 5-5:20 as the sun is setting.

Good Morning lovelies! I don’t know about you, but I am getting so excited for the Holiday’s. My mama’s birthday is tomorrow and then our favorite holiday, Thanksgiving is on Thursday!!! So much to be thankful for! In a post back in October I shared with you my fav Fall items and this outfit is spot on to that list! During this time of year you can 90% of the time find me in something similar to the pictures below. It doesn’t matter what trend is in or not each year, I have been sporting something similar to this look since college. There are many ways you can mix and match this outfit. Ditch the thick liquid legging, replace it with a tight, pair the blazer with rugged cut off shorts and add booties! For a more layered look add a thick knit underneath the blazer and leave it unbuttoned. This would look great with the black flat boots!

Make yourself a great day!
It’s just another manic Monday…I wish it was Sunday. No seriously I do wish it was Sunday. I hope you had a good weekend. I stayed busy with DIY’s and some good trash TV. Every once in awhile I love a good dose of trash tv. You know, like The Real Housewives of Miami, Silicon Valley Startups, and of course my favorite, the original mind numbing, trashy reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians. I ran around and did errands with my mom on Saturday morning and this is when I
stole borrowed her black and white polka sweater! The striped shirt underneath is more of a tunic in length so when I added the sweater for a contrast I tucked the shirt under about 6 inches. These pants are called The Rockstar Jean and I purchased these last year at Old Navy. They pretty much have every color of the rainbow. The fit of these pants ia very slim and almost jegging like. I don’t really enjoy this part of them, but at the time they were one of the only red jean I could find so I get over it when I wear them! Plus who can say no to Red, Black and White together?

OH and remember last week when I asked for your help in voting for my family’s restaurant. I was overwhelmed by the amount of people who messaged me and responded almost instantly. It means so much to me to know I have such awesome friends and bloggeristas out there on my team. S0…..guess what? JIMMY AND JOES PIZZERIA WON!!! I could hardly contain myself as you may have seen on instagram here. This clearly made my weekend. I hope you have a fabulous day.

Wooo whooo Friday is here! AAAAAnnnd it’s less than a week from Thanksgiving!! I cannot believe how fast this year is flying by. As the cool weather continues to grace us zonies with it’s presence I will continue to wear all 34 of my jackets/coats…jk I don’t think I have 34 coats. Well, maybe. This jacket I found at a consignment store while living in San Diego and I honestly haven’t worn it before. I love the material, pattern, leather details, buttons, but I didn’t like the fit of it. It is very oversized and I felt that it made me look like I was smuggling potatoes. (Whitney I spelled potatoes right this time!) Through some change of heart/style/mind/waist size it now suddenly appeals to me very much and was screaming at me to take pictures of it! Plus how amaze does it look paired with my new DIY cap toe flats I just made! It was a match made in heaven.
